Don't touch me bitch
Yes, Jacq does go out of his way to specifically say that in English.

I know that name cuz Space Marines! Lol but anyways i feel like Henry is starting to bring up a massively sore subject of his papa's past if Lionel's guess about who he is is correct and what Astarte is all about.
Henry pushed a button he shouldn't have, and he can't unpush that button.
Well you'd have to say "don't touch me bitch" in English. It just feels good. XD
(What would I know? I guess there are things I like to say in other languages.)
I really, really wish I could write Jacques' dialogue as it should be (he alternates between Hebrew, Yiddish, French and English with Henry and Lionel) but it would be waaaay too confusing for readers and myself. It's intentional on his end, because it's (a) annoying and (b) confusing to continuously switch between different languages, and (c) sometimes he doesn't remember/know a word in the appropriate language.
edit: forgot to mention that sometimes he alternates dialects and he primarily speaks old Hebrew with Faust so it confuses other people
He's a linguistic nightmare.
XD I could only dream of being that good at any language.
I really wished I'd learned more Spanish and Japanese. But I went to a hillbilly school where our Spanish teacher's major was English (she did her best, I don't blame her: she wanted to teach other stuff), and my college was too cheap to hire the adjunct foreign language professors full time :*(
My Japanese professor was so enthusiastic, he took on students for free to teach more...but my schedule was too full for extra non-credited courses (and I really love his teaching style and had learned a lot :*( )
Same here.
I would've loved to learn Japanese, but unfortunately my mom intentionally sabotaged learning that part of my heritage.
It's difficult to pick up new languages as an adult.
