Hey folks,
​​​​​​As you've not doubt noticed, it's been a long while since I last posted an update.
I had a couple life changes recently: I changed jobs (yaaay) and also avoided an abusive relationship!
I'm also still in the process of updating my art workstation PC: I just got a cintiq 22HD and a super nice 12GB GPU. I'm in the process of getting a new desk set up as well for ease of work.
I'm hoping that once I get my stuff set up, I'll be able to do a couple art streams here and there, including comic work streams.
As for the next page, it's in the process of being very slowly colored. It's about 40% done? 

We now have a Comic discord group!!
Folks that support the comic get access to secret channels with wips/pages and other content that get posted to the SubscribeStar page.

I also have 2 new stickers for $5+ supporters that will be sent out in March.

It's been awhile since I posted a blog.. Generally I will post minor updates in the author comments of pages.
Well, as you may have guessed, I'm currently working full time at my job and don't have as much time to work on comic stuff. I am, however, still very slowly working on the comic.. I post pretty regularly on the twitter account, so go check that out if you want to.
I'm trying to switch to part time for medical reasons (my entire left leg has muscle strain from overworking and I have constant fatigue). Unfortunately I'll be losing my benefits (insurance) but otherwise I'll have more time to work on the comic.
I currently have about 12 pages in progress that will be up for supporters on SubscribeStar soon. I'm working on them in batches. :)
I also am planning on manufacturing an enamel pin within the next couple months, so keep an eye out for that!!

Changed some stuff to make it easier to load the website, as well as added new buttons and improved the sizes of the support/patreon/etc. buttons so they're not in your way.
Should be a lot easier to read on both desktop and mobile.

Going to be going through the archive, relettering pages and reuploading them in jpgs so it's easier for you guys to read the comic, and at a faster pace. :^)

In lieu of the recent issues with Patreon banning users for off-site activity, despite their TOS stating that they only ban users for on-site activity,  I have created a SubscribeStar account over at: https://www.subscribestar.com/cotcacomic.

While I realize many readers will be unlikely to see or read this blog post or are unlikely to monetarily support this comic, I believe that other comic artists would find the site very useful in the case that Patreon should decide to ban or censor their work, weither it be for nsfw/adult content or content that's not politically correct (and lord do we know this comic is both of those things!), the site is an option you should be aware of.

Current update schedule is every Friday.

I'm trying to build a buffer so that I can post 2-3 pages every week for the time being.

Attempting to make better establishing shots and backgrounds in future pages to improve the general flow of the comic as well as... well, make the art better. I've been trying to improve the comic's look (as it also aids in visual story telling, for clarity). I will still do pages in greyscale with occassional splashes of color though.

We also recently hit a milestone: 30,000 visitors! Thank you so much for reading! I hope I can continue to provide an entertaining comic for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure), and hope to improve more and more.

This is because there are some upcoming pages in this chapter (chapter 5) that I need to focus heavily on composition and action. If I push them out too quickly, the story will suffer.

 

Hopefully after this chapter is done, I can return to my somewhat regular 2-3 pages an update.
